he Panthers visited Mathis Pirate country Friday, Nov. 2 and Aransas Pass pulled off its third straight district victory, 35-29, over the hosts improving to 4-2 in district play, to remain in the driver’s seat for a playoff spot.

Aransas Pass had first possession and went straight at the Pirate defense with a powerful run game. The Panthers marched up the field utilizing the run, eventually scoring on a three-yard scamper by Weston Pope. Jonathon Trevino converted the point after putting AP up 7-0, a score which remained the rest of the quarter.
