STATE TOURNAMENT CONTENDERS
Aransas Pass — The Panthers have been rolling through district play this season and were even strong in non-district play. This week we find out if it will be enough to push them to the state tournament for the first time since 2016.

London — The Pirates have been a top 10 team in the state all season long, and now get a chance to earn that elusive state tournament berth.

Port Aransas — The Marlins are hungry for a trip to San Antonio but a tough test awaits in the regional tournament.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Tony Benavidez, so. Tuloso-Midway — Benavidez is the Warriors' point guard and one of its top scorers for a resurgent program.

Dorian Bertero, sr., Flour Bluff — Bertero is expected to be back for the playoffs after a hand injury has kept him out. His return could help the Hornets on the outside.

Joshua Chesney, jr., London — Chesney is averaging a double-double of 19.9 points and 10.1 rebounds a game, along with 3.5 assists.

Tyson Cox, Rockport-Fulton — Cox led the District 31-4A champion Pirates with 17.2 points and is hitting better than 50 percent of his field goal attempts.
