The Aransas Pass varsity Panthers hosted the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions in their final and homecoming game of the regular season with playoff implications for a final spot, and came out with a 40-8 win, to advance to the playoffs, on a 5-2 district record.

In their bi-district matchup, the Panthers will face the top seed 9-1 Marion Bulldogs from the San Antonio area, Friday, Nov. 16 at Falls City at 7:30 p.m.

Friday’s homecoming festivities preceded the game in spite of the wet, rainy weather.
