In a matchup that went down to the last seconds, the Aransas Pass High School varsity Panthers lost a close battle, 65-70, to Jourdanton in a bi-district playoff game, to bow out of contention.

Head Coach Glen Hayes pointed out this season was a learning season for the seven sophomores who were on the varsity. He said the seniors did a good job leading and being great examples of how to work and interact on a team on a daily basis, adding, “The younger players had good people to model themselves after.”

In the Panther’s pre-district schedule, they played 20 teams that were from larger schools than AP, to get the ready for district and for playoffs. Hayes emphasized, “Our kids played hard every single game, and played together every game. There were absolutely no ego problems, no selfishness, and every member of the team played for each other.”
