The Aransas Pass High School varsity Panthers defeated Skidmore-Tynan, but fell to Odem in their final district matchups of the season, and finished tied third in district with a 6-6 record. They lost the flip, therefore they will compete as the fourth seed in bi-district playoffs.

The Panthers will face Jourdanton in a three-game series beginning Friday, May 3 in Jourdanton at 7 p.m. The second game will be played Saturday, May 4 in Aransas Pass at 4 p.m. If a third game is needed, it will be played 30 minutes after the second game has ended.

The Panthers also were set to play a “warmup” game against Port Aransas Tuesday, April 30 in Aransas Pass.

Against Skidmore-Tynan, six runs batted in (RBI) from Isaac Alvarado helped lead Aransas Pass past the Bobcats, 16-6, Tuesday, April 23. Alvarado drove in runs on a triple in the second, a grand slam in the third, and a stolen base in the fifth.

The Panthers collected 11 hits and Skidmore-Tynan had seven.
